What makes us different?

You are our number 1 priority. We want to see you transform your life and become that thriving, vibrant, strong person we know you can be, and so we are devoted to making that happen.

We generally don’t price our memberships at ridiculously low rates. It is possible to get a large chain for as little as $25 a month. This is not our business model for 2 reasons:

1. We believe that your safety and your health have a value. In the same way we would never go see a “discounted” doctor or put our life in the hands of a “discount” airline pilot, we would never want to cheapen the quality of our service to you. It is our mission to give you the best possible experience here at Brit. We want to help get you into the best shape of your life and to get you to be the healthiest, most vibrant you possible, all while keeping safety as our number 1 priority. We do not believe that this is possible if we open up our doors to hundreds of people who are simply looking for the next best “deal” to keep hopping off to. We believe that you get what you pay for, and we offer only the best when it comes to our coaching, experience and meticulous attention to each of our wonderful members.

2. We want to maintain the warm, vibrant, family-like community we’ve been so lucky to have in CrossFit Brit’s members. We want members who are committed to bettering themselves and who want to be part of our community, so we’d rather not fill our classes with price shoppers who’ll jump ship the second a cheaper deal comes along. We care about each member, about your goals, hopes, aspirations and concerns. At Brit you will always be greeted personally when you walk in the door and, we hope, you will make friendships that will last a lifetime!

When we occasionally do offer special deals, we price them in such as way so as to be able to maintain our high standards and to appeal to those who are serious about placing their health and fitness as a priority over the longterm.
If you’re looking for the cheapest gym in town, we probably aren’t a good fit for you. But you will get extremely good value for money.

We also really want you to have fun!

As far as the workouts go, these are a combination of constantly varied functional movements that will help you be better at LIFE! Movements like pushing, pulling, squatting, lifting, running, jumping, and so much more, which will help you in every aspect of your lives. Want to be able to play with your kids without getting tired? Or carry your own suitcases when you travel? How about wanting to be able to go for a hike on the weekend without getting out of breath, or finally get your back stronger so you can rid yourself of that niggling back pain? We’re here to help you with all of that, whilst having a blast!

You will not see rows of treadmills, stationary bikes and weight machines. Instead you will find kettlebells, pull-up bars, barbells and wide open space for squatting, running, jumping, climbing, lifting and throwing – moving your body the way it is meant to be moved.

All your workouts will be comprised of exercises that mirror movements you might perform in day-to-day life or in sport. We focus on improving functional movements that are necessary and common in your daily activities. You would never bicep curl your child when you’re trying to pick them up, so why should you do that in the gym?

At CrossFit Brit you will never get bored. Although our program is constantly varied it is not random. We use tried, tested and proven principals of strength and conditioning with periodization. In other words, we don’t make it up as we go along.

You will also never have to think up your own workouts or spend hours working out in the gym. Instead, each day a workout will be provided for you that is scalable to suit your fitness level. And because our workouts are rarely longer than 40 minutes, they can fit into even the busiest of schedules.

Once again, our programming is not just a random collection of workouts with odd names. It aims to improve your capacity in the ten recognized fitness domains – cardio-respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy. The result is comprehensive physical fitness and restored vitality. In others words – you will become a better human being!
